Dead Mans Fingers Review
The ever-popular cash collector genre comes with mostly fishing related slots on the top shelf, although plenty of other themes, including pirate slots, are represented as well. Yggdrasil YGS Master, G.Games, adds another one to the pile with Dead Man's Fingers, and it follows closely in the footsteps of their previous jungle-themed cash collect effort, Tiger Tiger.
Visually, we much prefer this video game style release to the more bland predecessor, but the core feature is still the same. Landing the Collector skeleton hand together with treasure chest Quickhit Money and/or Jackpot symbols is the name of the game, and you also get a more volatile math model with a somewhat increased 2,740x potential. We can only hope the concept is further developed next time, as this release is close to being a reskin job.

The premium symbols pay between 12 and 80 x your stake for 5 of a kind wins, and the black-bearded pirate captain is the top-tier symbol. The pirate captain may land as a 1x1 standard sized symbol, or he can land in sizes 1x2, 1x3, or fully stacked as a 1x4 symbol that covers entire reels. The octopus Wild symbol can appear on the 3 middle reels only, and it steps in for all pay symbols to help complete winning combinations.

The Money Collect feature triggers when you land the skeleton Collect hand on reel 5, which is the only place it can land, together with treasure chest Quickhit Money symbols anywhere else. The Money Symbols land with random values from 1x to 20x, but you can also land Mini, Minor, Major and Grand jackpot treasure chests.
These are worth 50x, 100x, 200x and 1,000x your stake, respectively, and the Collect symbol collects all present prizes for you.You trigger the Bonus Round with 10 free spins when you land 3 compass scatters anywhere on the 3 middle reels, and you can expect even more Collect and Quickhit Money and Jackpot symbols during the feature. You can retrigger the bonus round with +10 extra spins by landing 3 scatters again, and there is no upper limit as to how many extra spins you can win this way.
The 200 Spins Dead Man's Fingers Slot Experience
You get a decent taste of the base game grind, before we finally trigger the bonus round close to the 2-minute mark. We had some teasers, but towards the end of the feature we finally landed a solid Collect loot. You’ll have to hit the play button below to see for yourself whether or not this involves a jackpot.
Review Summary
We are a bit disappointed that G.Games has decided to basically release a remake of Tiger Tiger, instead of taking this opportunity to further develop the concept. They could’ve at least gone a bit more haywire with the math model (or at the very least increased the below par 95.15 % RTP).
The volatility has been upped from low to medium/high, but the 2,740x win cap is not too far off the 2,000x potential you get in the previous jungle-themed money collect effort. We like the pirate theme better though, and the computer game style visuals are nicely done. The Money Collect feature can dish out handsome payments in all stages of the game, but your chances of grabbing win cap threatening loot is definitely increased when the bonus round triggers. The Fishin' Frenzy inspired concept is ever popular, but G.Games needs to up the ante a bit more to stand a chance at truly making waves.
Pros
- Quickhit Money Collect feature
- FS w/ extra money/collect symbols
- Money Collect jackpots up to 1,000x
- Win up to 2,740x your stake
Cons
- Very similar to the less volatile Tiger Tiger
- RTP of 95.15 % is well below average
If you enjoy Dead Man's Fingers Slot you should also try:
Tiger Tiger - comes with less exciting explorer/tiger visuals perhaps, but you also get plain low volatility combined with an in-the-same-ballpark 2,000x potential. The game is all about the Quickhit Money Collect feature, which triggers more frequently in the bonus round also here.
Dead Man’s Trail - is a buccaneer treasure island release from Relax Gaming, and you can look forward to special cash coin wins in the base game. The Trail Bonus Game is the big highlight however, and you’ll move a pawn around the treasure map to trigger 11 unique modifiers that can land you up to 50,000x your stake.
Epic Treasure - is a somewhat similar pirate release from Max Win Gaming, and premium symbols can land with up to 100x prizes that are collected by special top-row treasure chest symbols. Up to 1,000x prizes can be collected in the bonus round, and this can lead to 5,000x payouts.
